I’m  afraid  of  waking  to  earthquakes  or
smoke                        both  of which  want
to learn the name of the body
if you disappear because of me
I will catch a hundred thousand birds
                       I will
eat them       I will burn them        I will
set a fire in my belly then eat them
                                   I will miss so many
moments      I can’t            imagine   this
actually                      not the birds
but you
or me
cradling a shaking shaking shaking
I can’t see you now  but that’s only right
now    everything is frozen not   like   ice
            no just ice                             I’m
afraid             I so much enjoy the world
